Established by Le Ly in 1999, Global Village Foundation strives to uplift the people of rural Vietnam through self-sustaining programs in education, health care, cultural preservation, and disaster relief, as well as construction of schools and homes in impoverished regions. 

 

Some GVF projects include:

• Launching The Portable Libraries Project

• Building schools

• Providing annual delivery of emergency relief to rural areas affected by natural disasters

• Providing relief for those affected in Thailand and Sri Lanka by the 2004 tsunami

• Launching Dental Health Education Project to provide dental health education, preventative dental care, and dental health care to children in rural areas

• Constructing houses for those who needed homes in Central Vietnam

• Supporting victims of Agent Orange in Quang Nam Province
